Research the essay's topic well and plan how you would approach things before you start writing. This will help you save a lot of time and you wouldn't be confused when you actually start writing.
3Be sure to structure it. A sociology essay that is well structured is pleasing to read and shows the reader that you have the ability to present the problem, argument, solution and conclusion in a disciplined way. Structuring your essay is also something that you need to do before you start writing. This will ensure that you have a framework in mind at all times and you do not deviate from the topic. Structuring will also help ensure that each section in the essay is given equal and appropriate importance and it will help maintain the flow of essay so that the essay does not appear haphazard.
4Be sure to include an Introduction, Main Body and Conclusion. A good sociology essay that is pleasing to read should ideally be divided into three parts – an introduction, the main body and a conclusion. When you start writing the essay, you will have all the material with you and a structure in mind. Now you need to know what content will fit which section. The introduction is where you will set the tone for the essay, introduce the argument and give the readers an overview of what the paper is all about, in the main body, you need to expand on the argument, give a balanced view of the argument and share your perspectives and findings. The conclusion of a sociology essay is essentially a summary of all entire paper.
5Reference your work. Once you are done with writing the sociology essay, you now need to add citations. For a sociology essay, the Harvard system of referencing is the most accepted. Referencing is important because a poorly referenced paper will make you lose marks. You need to add references for not only direct quotes but also quotes and concepts that you have paraphrased.…...

...Stanza 1 Summary Get out the microscope, because we’re going through this poem line-by-line. Line 1 I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions. While "Sylvia" might sound a little bit like silver, we're pretty sure from this first-person declaration that Plath isn't the speaker in this poem. Instead, we have to think back to the title: what is silver and exact? Well, a mirror! We know mirrors don't talk – but that just makes us more curious about what this mirror is going to say. We know from looking at them that mirrors are silver and give an exact reflection of what is in front of them. The second part of the line is not so simple. This mirror is telling us it has no preconceptions. The mirror doesn't change what it shows you based on it's understanding of who you are, or whether you're having a bad day or a good day – it just shows what it sees. So, while this mirror may be personified in the poem, it doesn't, like most people, let what it has seen before affect what it does in the present. Line 2 Whatever I see, I swallow immediately. Now the personification becomes a little weirder. We can imagine a person who is exact, who has no preconceptions, but a person who swallows everything he sees – now that's a stretch. To figure out this line, it helps to think of what mirrors do to everything they see – they reflect it. Swallowing everything, then, is a metaphor for reflecting everything. The substitution of "swallowing" for "reflecting" makes this...

...Blank Blanks are commonly used when the sound and flash of gunfire is needed, but a projectile would not be safe, such as in military training maneuvers or funeral honors, in movies that require gun fights, in starter pistols to signal the beginning of races and in the equestrian sport of Cowboy Mounted Shooting. Blanks used by the military are usually used with a special blank-firing adaptor in the firearm that constricts the barrel, keeping chamber pressures from the blank high enough and for long enough of a duration to cycle the firearm's action. In case of non-crimped blanks, it also serves to pulverise the plug to prevent it leaving as a projectile. For movie use, specially designed blank-firing firearms are often used, which increases the margin of safety as they cannot be loaded with live ammunition. 5-in-1 blanks are specifically made for theatrical use and are commonly used in real firearms for dramatic effect. 5-in-1 blanks can function in a variety of different calibers, hence the name. Special blank cartridges are also used for applications where the explosive power of a cartridge is needed, but a projectile is not. Blank cartridges were commonly used for launching tear-gas or rifle grenades, though some types of grenades are capable of trapping the bullet of a live round. Larger blanks are also used in line launching guns, such as the line launching kit for the Mossberg 500 shotgun. Blank cartridges as used in nail guns Blank rimfire cartridges,......

...the data into consolidated reporting and analysis applications is particularly difficult. This applies to both versions; World and Enterprise One. Many companies have seen fit to modify the JDEdwards software to further tailor it to their specific needs. Modifications add to the maintenance burden because every mod must be reapplied (or at least re-verified) after each update to the software. Because of the cost and difficulty involved, many of these companies have not implemented vendor-provided updates and therefore live with an ‘old’ or ‘down-level’ version of the system. They may not apply corrections and fixes supplied by the developer. Because of this, they do not get the new functionality and extensions that are often included in updates. If they are still paying for maintenance, they might not get all that they are paying for in maintenance. Microsoft Dynamics AX offers a rich array of functionality to serve the needs of a wide variety of industries without the unnecessary complexity that supports functions that few companies need. Built using industry-standard tools and database, Microsoft Dynamics AX is easy to implement and maintain. Tailor ability is provided through modern tools and architecture, not user-defined tables and software ‘switches’. Microsoft Dynamics AX offers personalized, role-based screens, for example, that are not affected by product updates or program modifications, in most cases. The industry-standard Microsoft® SQL Server® database is......

...anyone and anywhere. This can help with the sharing and delivering of information and ideas. Also, with more people on the internet, ideas and knowledge can be enhanced. Social media plays a huge role in helping to connect with millions of people around the world, finding long lost friends, even look for a job and business opportunities. This includes popular social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram and more. Also, with increasing usage of the internet, businesses have made use of online services such as online shopping (Ebay and Amazon) and online banking (managing bank accounts or paying bills). This has been very convenient, as transactions can be made through customer’s home and hence saves cost and time of transporting from one place to another. However, communicating through the internet can be risky as an individual’s personal information can get stolen and get used by someone else. Also, there are findings suggesting that an increasing usage of internet has caused social disconnection between family and friends. Nowadays, everyone is always seen on their phone at gatherings instead of socially interacting with other people. The second IT-based communication tool is the intranet. Intranet refers to a collection of private computer networks within an organization. This method of communication has been widely used in many organizations nowadays as it is easy, fast and economical as it helps concerned employees to be informed of things happening......

...Sandel argues there are obvious moral limits to markets, because market thinking tends to corrupt the value and integrity of some goods once they are considered a commodity. This also means business practices should be limited to certain areas and be subjected to certain norms and expectations. Market economy: a (valuable and effective) tool for organising productive activity  Market society: a way of life in which market values seep into every aspect of human endeavor, Organising markets The market system enables economic agents to exchange goods and services through the price system. The price system adjusts supply and demand, and arguably represents people’s preferences. Limited market efficiency Markets and price system don’t account for moral limits on what is being exchanged. This erodes nonmarket norms, and changes social and moral expectations. Markets purport to allocate goods so as to maximise social welfare, under certain conditions – including pure competition. Yet, these conditions hardly ever occur: monopoly and oligopoly characterise most industries. This unequal distribution of power: –Distorts supply/demand; –Affects the size and scope of competition (and the industry); –Allows to bend the legal environment in one’s favour; –Increases lack of transparency and availability of information to other market agents; –Contributes to shaping behavioural change and social norms....

...a company based solely on its expected future cash flows. Interest rates are currently 8%. If this company expects income of $500,000 next year (it is the end of year 0 or equivalently the beginning of the first year), growing at 6% each year until the end of the tenth year. Then, income growth is expected to slow to 5% forever after, what is the value of this company today, in thousands of dollars? | Your answer: | 17696.4 | Correct answer: | 17956.999131    (difference= 260.5991314) | Explanation: | Cash Flows (all dollar values in thousands): T=1, $500. T=2, $530. T=3, $561.8. T=4, $595.5, and so on until T=10, $844.7. Then, slower growth: T=11, $887. T=12, $931.3, and so on. You can use brute force (i.e., a large spreadsheet) to get the correct answer. Or, you can be more clever. The first 10 cash flows are a growing annuity. Their present value is PV(first 10 years)=[500/(0.08-0.06)]*[1-((1+*0.06)/(1+0.08))^10]=$4262.3. The cash flows from year 11 on are a growing perpetuity. Standing at year 10, their value will be $887/(0.08-0.05)=$29565.9. Now, discount this from year 10 to today, $29565.9/1.08^10=$13694.7. Finally, add the two and obtain the answer, $4262.3+$13694.7=$17957. | Question #: | 4 ( Q02.4 ) | Grade: | incorrect | Question: | You need a 30-year, $200000 mortgage to purchase a house. At an interest rate of 8%, what will your monthly mortgage payments be? | Your answer: | 1423.155 | Correct answer: | 1428.795953    (difference= 5.6409525) | ......

...Initial Performance Bond (formerly called margin): The initial investment required to establish a futures position.  To buy one U.K. pound futures contract, you would have to put up about $3,500, which is only about 3.5% of the contract value of $100,000.  You would also have to keep a "maintenance margin," usually 70-75% of the initial margin.  In this case, you could never let your account go below $2,600 (about 75% of $3,500).  If you can't make margin call, your contract is liquidated by broker.  Daily settlement (marked-to-market): Futures contracts are revalued daily depending on the daily settlement price (ex-rate).  Every futures contract involves a buyer (long) and a seller (short).  Buyer (seller) will gain (lose) when the settlement price rises (falls).  Futures trading is a "zero-sum" game, every gain is exactly offset by a loss of the same amount.  See Exhibit 7.4, p. 170, for Canadian dollar (CD) futures contract, payoff diagram. If the CD rises (falls), the buyer/long will have their margin account increased (decreased).  If the CD falls (rises), the seller/short will have their account increased (decreased). Difference: Profits/losses for a futures contract accumulate on a daily basis vs. forward contract, where profits/losses are realized all at once at contract expiration....
