Most important place that you enjoy as a child Everything changes, but memories lasts. As a child I also had my favorite place and was my home, the home that I left behind when we moved to this country. My home is located in El Salvador a peaceful quiet place where every afternoon at 4 pm was all noise because of my sisters and I and other kids from our neighborhood. The house was white and burgundy, it had two windows one on each side, the house looked like a face to me, because the windows were the eyes and in the center the door which to me was the mouth of the house. Even though I no longer live there I miss the backyard, it is small but we owned a small garden with red roses and violets, there is the place where I used to play along with dolls and sisters. Also I miss my bedroom which I called our heaven because is the place where my sisters and I shared happiness, tears, and even secrets. I miss going to the park in front of our house, we will always see a grown man sitting on a bench. Whenever we went to the park we would played as much until night came. Most of my memories were created in that house and neighborhood.

Whenever I need to calm down my minds travels back to the house I lived as a child. The house with the small garden, our garden was located in the back of our house a garden that was composed with red roses their ordor was fresh as can feel the sweatness of the rose, the sweatness it gave me anxiety to want to try it also we had violets their color was a beauty and for some reason they are very delicate because of us they never lasted long enough because whenever we played cooking the petals were part of our food, my backyard was our play field, the moment we got home from school there was no other place to be rather than our garden in our backyard there was the lavadero in Spanish just by opening the water from the know and hearing the water fall, makes you think how a waterfall would fall, whenever mom washed the cloth there was always a pond of water around the lavadero, but we would make a river out it just because in order to get inside the house we had to cross over the river, also there was a restroom in the backyard, at nights I was scared of going outside by myself. When my dad used to visit me the backyard was my favorite place at night because with him the night was just perfect him and I in a hammock looking up to the sky full of stars and talking about things related to my school and things related to what he does whenever he did not come to visit me. The backyard also is the place where I used to run to in order to recalled his presence, I wanted to see him but he was not there and just by thinking of him it made me wanted to be in the hammock and swinging it until I felt like flying up to him. Whenever I had a project from school my classmates would which house we will be meeting I always offered my house because I enjoyed being in my house mostly my backyard, when we were done with our project first thing we did was to play, laugh, and enjoy our time together before they returned to their houses. If I could go back and relieve some of these memories, I would choose those nights I spent with my father. Regardless I am away from home it always will be in my heart, no matter time passes the place is the most memorable and embraceful of my life.

My bedroom is my sanctuary because it was the only place we can truly escape from reality. In that house another place I can think of is my bedroom; it is the heaven where I grew up, the place that my sisters and I shared happiness, joy, even tears. Anyone was not able to see the unique that the bedroom was to me, all they could see was the bed topped with a blanket and a soft and comfy pillow, a small sofa a box filled with a lot of dolls. Even so, thinking of my bedroom brings back good and bad memories, I still can smell the camomile scent that my mother used to put in our room, on days I feel depressed I go to my bed closed my eyes and travel back to my used to be bedroom and it brings me memories. I remember those days where I felt down with no energy and did not wanted to play in my beloved backyar, I just run to my bed throwing myself into it and putting my covers up to my face and my only comfor was my pillow, my pillow was the one wiping out my tears without getting annoyed, that pillow that knew every secret of mine since the day I went to live with my mom. Since that pillow became mine it was it and my bed that were the one that felt that I could trust of the most. I loved to sit in between those four walls to think whatever came to my mind, either it was something sad or happy I just enjoyed being there until my playful sisters, who enjoyed to played or even annoyed whenever I felt the way or knew that I was missing my dad, all they did was just do whatever like telling every joke they knew just to cheer me up. Prior to them being present in my bedroom, our bedroom did nothing but to build up more unforgettable memories that took place there in my bedroom and in that house. Even if visitors might not consider my room as a special place that is because they have not being in there, but to me my bedroom was my utopia, the place where I could laugh and cry. The cave that holds most of my memories it always be part of favorite places.

Parque Jardines de Sosonate is located in front of the house where I grew up, so I could see the park from our living room window. Every noon at 4 pm my sisters and friends spent time there and honestly I liked the park, because it had the fresh smell, when the guy in charge of watering the park finished the smell of wet ground was just good. I enjoyed to watch high school students who were playing soccer almost every day, parents with their toddlers, other with their dogs hanging around. Going to the park it was also part of our routine, it was as well for a grown man that visited that park every day, he would never missed a day going to the park. He would come and sit in the same bench at the same time just to see the kids play his nickname was “Don Chilo”, his real name I do not know, but he was gentle and we see him as our grandpa, whenerver he got there we would run up to him screaming “abuelo” you are here. He did not have family that is why he spent the time in the park, he said he felt that his family never left him, because with us around he had his family, “el abuelo” is one of the persons I miss the most besides my father, whenever my father was not there, days were he did not come and visit me “el abuelo” was there, he knew that is something was wrong he will do anything as if he was my real grandpa. The days I hated the sometimes were rainy days, because those days we were not able to go neither to the park nor to the backyard, I was not able to see him. Even though I enjoyed spending time in my bedroom, I wanted to go out and did have fun playing outside with our friends. It was not a place where only my sisters, friends and I had fun, but also the place where my mom used to get together with her friends to have a nice afternoon chatting on anything it came to discussion. The park had soccer field, swings, slides; it was surrounded by many small trees, walk ways, benches, I could describe it as greenish and colorful because of its playground. I played many things in the park. My friends and I gathered together and played hide and seek or tag, tag was my least favorite game because I was a slow runner, and always got tagged on. On the other hand hide and seek was my favorite of all because there were many places to hide, usually I was the last one to be found and because of that my price was a candy, which was bought in the store near the park, adventurous days we had on that park, sometimes I wonder is it still the same, do they enjoy going to the park spent some time with friends. People had stands where we used to buy fruits for example mangoes, coconut, or other kind of fruit. When it was getting dark we started living one by one depending on how strict mothers were, even though staying late in the night was just perfect because is one of the places where you can enjoy the view of the moon, looking at the stars laying on a bench and just enjoy the beauty of the sky at night. While my friends were living my sisters and I stayed a little longer because our house was just crossing the street. The park is one of the reasons why my house and my neighborhood are so memorable to me. Places can be meaningless to others but not to the one who lived and enjoyed the unforgetable place.

To sum up, the garden, my heaven and the park in front of our house is the most important place I enjoyed in my childhood, it may not be as meaninful to other but it is to me. My mind is the one who needs to work on the most, because is the one traveling to my past, the past that had so many joyful memories and now in days we only can recall it without turning back. If I had an opportunity to go back in time I would choose my childhood, because those were the days were I had so much fun, the days that I used to see my dad every other day and I no longer see, days were I spent time with friends and “el abuelo” were the most precious days to me. Distance is in between my homeland and I, but as in my heart and in my mind it was like I never left it behind.…...

Favorite Place to Travel

...My favorite place to travel to while on vacation is Orlando, Florida. Orlando has become our home away from home and the traditional family vacation spot. During our vacation there we experience a lot of shopping spots, great restaurants and last but not least Disney World. We take our family there every year and we always have a wonderful time. But our favorite place to relax and visit while in Orlando is to stay at our vacation home. We plan and prepare excitedly for the special time to spend with the entire family during the kids’ yearly spring break. The adults have just as much fun as the kids. Even though, we have a huge family to accommodate in one house for a week we are anticipating the family memories we are making. During our family vacation the ladies always plan a special day of the week to go shopping. Of course, a vacation isn’t a vacation unless we do some shopping and site seeing. We love going to flea markets and malls looking for some great gifts for our family and ourselves. While the women are enjoying an evening out shopping the men are home grilling and watching the kids have fun in the pool. To wrap up a long day of shopping, we treat ourselves to a very nice dinner. Last but not least, THEME PARKS!!! Our family begins the day with an early rise to begin our adventure to as many theme parks we can handle for a day. My personal favorite is Disney World. I love the fairytale atmosphere where everyone can be a kid again.......

...golden key, and when she went back to the table for it, she found she could not possibly reach it: she could see it quite plainly through the glass, and she tried her best to climb up one of the legs of the table, but she couldn't; and when she had tired herself out with trying, the poor little thing sat down and cried. 'Come, there's no use in crying like that!' said Alice to herself, rather sharply; 'I advise you to leave off this minute!' She generally gave herself very good advice, (though she very seldom followed it), and sometimes she was so angry with herself as to bring tears into her eyes; and once she remembered trying to smack herself for having cheated herself in a game of croquet she was playing against herself, for this curious child was very fond of pretending to be two people. 'But it's no use now,' thought poor Alice, 'to pretend to be two people! Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make ONE respectable person!' Soon her eye fell on a little glass box that was lying under the table: she opened it, and found in it a very small cake, on which the words 'EAT ME' were beautifully written. 'Well, I'll eat it,' said Alice, 'and if it makes me grow larger, I can reach the key; and if it makes me grow smaller, I can creep under the door; so either way I'll get into the garden, and I don't care which happens!' She ate a little bit, and said anxiously to herself, 'Which way? Which way?', holding her hand on the top of her head to feel which way it was growing, and......

My Favorite Place on Campus

...Mr. Stephens Essay 1 September 9, 2013 My Favorite Place on Campus As I sit under the pavilion, I begin to recognize and appreciate how relaxing and refreshing the atmosphere around me truly is. Whether your purpose is to study, have fun or relax, the pavilion is the perfect place to do it. Many students agree that the best place on campus to study is under the pavilion. Other students say that they have had the most memorable experiences of their lives there. One of my absolute favorite places to study and do homework is underneath the pavilion. There, students will find themselves feeling peaceful and tranquil. When the birds and crickets chirp there is a soft and calming noise that echoes throughout the pavilion making one feel relaxed and serene. At times, studying can be extremely stressful, but with the wind blowing just right and the sounds of nature buzzing in my ear, I feel a sudden sense of peace. Focusing on schoolwork for long periods of time is a challenge for some students, but being under the pavilion helps most students unwind and focus on your goals. Students come to the pavilion on a regular basis, whether to play games or to simply have a conversation. It is a great place to gather with other people and to get to know fellow classmates a little bit better. Many of the relationships that form around OC will last a lifetime, and I can personally say that many of these connections and memories originate from under the pavilion’s roof.......

...The Musketeer in Me—Vikas One fundamental rule of reincarnation is that you do not know your past life. Well, it seems as though I broke that rule. In fact, I am absolutely certain that my past reincarnation was none other than d’Artagnan, the fourth musketeer. Knowing that is a gift. It makes the arduous process of describing the entirety of my personality in 500 words or less, possible. I can simply toss Alexandre Dumas’ biographical recount of my past life and say, “That’s me,” and those two words would mean everything. They make me that noble and heroic Gasconian that set out to Paris with nothing more than a yellow, hairless pony and a dream of grandeur. Alas, times have changed. The Musketeers, dueling, and horses, they have all become relics of the past. A new era and new circumstances bring a different life. Now, I am a first generation, 17-year-old American living in Jersey. My yellow, hairless horse is an old, squeaky Toyota Camry: its modern equivalent. My stunning silver-gilded rapier and armour have been replaced by a BIC pen and legal pad. However, all those changes are superficial. Inside, I still dream of the same grandeur. I dream, with every fiber of my body, that one day I will become a Newtonian giant holding a Nobel Prize. That one day I will support the innovation and ingenuity that fuels our evolving world. The only challenge is that there are millions of people that share the same dream as me, so what makes me different? Well, even if......

Favorite Location

...Favorite Location When I was growing up it was a family tradition to go on vacation once a year. I decided when I had kids, I would continue that tradition. One of my favorite places to visit was the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. This family vacation was my favorite, because all twelve of my family members when with us. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What made it even more exciting were the expressions on my two son’s faces when they saw the characters for the first time. The car ride to Florida was very long, so we decided to make several stops at several roadside attractions, including museums and parks. The kids were starting to get board at the museums, so we made up a game and tried to make learning about the past fun and exciting. One of our stops was at South of the Border. Everyone bought a sombrero from the gift shop and then went on the big sombrero ride. I did not know we had to take a paddle boat to the park. I have a fear of boats so I held on to the pole in the middle of the boat. My sister and husband grabbed my son’s hands, so they did not get lost in the crowd. When the paddle boat began to move, I closed my eyes until we arrived at the other side of the lake where the Magic Kingdom was located. It only took about five minutes but it seemed longer to me. The Magic Kingdom was my favorite part of our vacation. As soon as we walked in through the gates, we heard all different Disney songs. While walking on......

My Favorite Place

...My Favorite Place Gatlinburg, Tennessee is my favorite place to be for many reasons. In the city there are many small stores and different restaurants to choose from. There is never a boring moment at any time of the day. Every time I visit Gatlinburg I always have an awesome and eventful time. My main favorite place in Tennessee is my grandma’s house. My grandma has always kept many farm and house animals. In the backyard there is an old gray barn with white doors, four windows, and the paint is slowly peeling away on the outside. The barn contains a few pigs, cows, and chickens. She always has had a dog inside the house, currently a caramel colored Boxer named Sammy. About a mile from each side of her house are two big farms. One farm grows different crops such as hay and corn. The other farm has many cows roaming around inside of a fenced area while grazing on hay. There is also an oval shaped pond in her backyard. After a long day I always swim in the pond and in the middle of it there is a huge navy blue raft I swim to and sit on for a while. The pond also stocked with fish so it’s fun to go fishing in too. I love visiting my grandma during the summer because it is very peaceful and eventful. Another reason I enjoy being in Tennessee is the extremely beautiful weather that it has. There are consistent hot and sunny temperatures. In the summer it is usually around 80-100+ degrees outside. During this time I’m never occupied in the house at all and I’m pretty much......

Favorite Brand

...Favorite Brand Danny Dao MKT/421 August 11, 2014 Theodore Framan Favorite Brand For the past 15 years, I have been a loyalty costumer of Nike shoe. Reason of choice was easy to talk about Nike’s shoe was the design of the shoe, the comfortable of wearing it, and the offering Nike has to offer was great. I’m not trying to say the design of Adidas or Reebok or any other brands of shoe line were bad, I just think Nike have an edge over them. When is come to design, Nike did an outstanding job providing their customers the option to customized their own shoe, “They were one of the pioneering companies that began the whole custom-shoe craze, and it makes sense that their NikeID site is so awesome. Once you get there, choose between a large numbers of athletic shoes to customize.  There are tons of details you can customize including:  colors, materials, text, width, and more.” ("Design Your Own Shoes", 2013). I had entered the site NikeID a few times and created two pairs of Nike with my own design, and both pairs of shoe turn out how I wanted at the first place. I believed with this method of marketing Nike introduced to the customers was superior, its allowing people to create or build the pairs of shoe of how they wanted and also the price was the same with the original pair. After you had a favorite pair of shoe, you definitely want test drive on it. Nike’s shoe known for its best comfortable and help protect feet to the fullest. According to NIKE,......

My Favorite Resturant

...Graham Engl 1101 TR 5:00-6:15 7 February 2013 My Favorite Restaurant As a child, I wasn’t fond of eating out. During the early 1960s, where racial segregation was still Prevalent in the south and spending time in public places presented a high challenge for African- Americans. Severely hampered by socioeconomic barriers, our choices for leisure, recreation, and entertainment was limited, particularly in restaurants. Every time we went anywhere, something would happen to illustrate the fact that we were not welcomed, but for a little place called Helen’s 2 Spot. I loved the place and this made my parents love it too. The place seemed so magical and fascinating to me then, when I was still an elementary school kid, and surprisingly, the place still very much fascinates me today. Just recently, when I went back to my hometown of Florence, S.C. for Thanksgiving, I was surprised to find out that the place still operated, and in fact, was run by the same family. Apart from the house in which I grew up, Helen’s 2 Spot is probably the dearest little place to me in town. What is so special about this place? It’s hard to answer in just a few words. First of all, Helen’s, as we all like to call it, is a small cozy house in the outskirts, with not one indication, even a sign, that would tell you from its outer appearance that would tell you that it is a restaurant. This is what probably earned my love in the first place; this and the people who worked, and still worked......

Favorite Branding

...Favorite Brand Paper Phyllis Renee Bistos MKT/421 April 8, 2015 Geraldine Goodstone Favorite Brand Paper Branding is more than just a company logo. When a person thinks about a company they should think about great service, great products and great prices. My favorite brand is Starbucks, because of their ability to stand out in every aspect of branding. Effective branding can give a company the edge needed in a competitive market. Branding tells your customers what kind of company you are and what they can expect from your products and service. In my opinion Starbucks has the best tasting coffee drinks. I also appreciate the fact that Starbucks offers free Wi-Fi in a comfortable atmosphere where I can work on homework. Starbucks is also good to their employees by offering tuition reimbursement and fair wages. The Reasons I am Passionate about the Starbucks Brand I have been a Starbucks customer ever since I can remember. The first reason I am passionate about Starbucks is because of the quality of their products. I love the taste of their coffee, teas, and food products. They also have a large variety of drinks available so a person never gets tired of the same thing. The second reason I am passionate about Starbucks is because of their customer service. I always receive fast and friendly service at Starbucks. The final reason I am passionate about Starbucks is......

Favorite Brand

...Favorite Brand Paper Apple is one of the largest and most successful companies in the world. Apple is known for making easy to use and extremely sought after electronic devices such as the IPhone, the IPad and the iPod. Apple connects with consumers of all ages by providing reliable products and excellent customer service, both in their retail stores and through their telephone support line. This type of service builds brand loyalty. They take great pride in the ability to provide product differentiation, market availability, and for getting the upper hand on setting prices. For years Apple was a distant second to Microsoft in terms of their operating system use and sales. However with the launch of a massive advertising campaign a few years ago, made Apple environmentally responsible, put them in an important place in the lives of consumers, and made the brand cool for all ages. According to Perreault, Cannon and McCarthy, “Marketing is the performance of activities that seek to accomplish an organizations objectives by anticipating customer or client needs and directing a flow of need-satisfying goods and services from producer to customer or client” (2009, p.6). Where Apple has evolved and is keeping up with what consumer’s demand of the latest electronic devices, Microsoft has not and their products lack style and are not easy to use. There are several reasons to be passionate about this brand. They market their product very well. They sell good quality electronic......

Favorite Brand (Toms)

...Favorite Brand MKT/421 Favorite Brand In the world of consumerism, a brand or a favorite brand is important. However, why it is so important is the key to being so successful. That brand has to speak to the consumer, reach out on an emotional level and keep the consumer coming back. “Brands deliver emotional connection to a business’ products and services. Most purchase decisions have critical emotional components” (Shoultz, 2015). For these reasons, we will discuss my favorite brand and its success, TOMS Shoe Company. TOMS TOMS Shoe Company is a unique and inspired company, founded by CEO Blake Mycoskie and what the people in the business refer to him as, Chief shoegiver. TOMS has an interesting background, and what seems like a very unlikely place to find inspiration, comes out of nowhere to create one of the most successful businesses of its kind. Mycoskie, an entrepreneur from Texas, had several startup businesses from driver’s education to a campus laundry facility. In 2002, Mycoskie and his sister were on the popular television show, The Amazing Race. On this show, Mycoskie found himself in several countries in South America, in which one he fell in love with, Argentina. It was here he discovered the inspiration for what would be the driving force for TOMS. The Idea While in Argentina, Mycoskie discovered the true reality of poverty in the small villages outside Buenos Aries. People and children so poor they could not afford shoes. Mycoskie learned that not......

...Perhaps my favorite show on television at the moment, The Walking Dead has had several episodes that I consider to be non-linear. Days pass between each episode with months even having passed between each season. A majority of this show's episodes begin with a look into the future, or shows the aftermath of a battle that is probably going to take place during the episode. Flashbacks of helicopters flying over the city, of Rick when he was left in the hospital by Shane, and of Rick's encounter with Morgan occurred often during the first season. The most recent episode that showed characteristics of non-linear storytelling was the episode "Internment". This was the fifth episode of the fourth season, and until then we had not heard of The Governor since he went crazy at the end of the third season. The next two episodes then went on to explain what The Governor had done since the incident and why he was stalking the prison yet again. The non-linear structure enhances the episode because it added a lot of suspense for anyone who had been watching since The Governor was first introduced. Seeing him standing outside the prison, watching Rick, Carl, Hershel, and Michonne, left the audience questioning what was going to happen next. The next couple answered those answered through flashbacks then finally the final episode before the mid-season finale picked up with him outside the fences. Showing him not shoot Michonne or Rick immediately at the end of the fifth episode, then...

...life,but soon friends would gather and a game would ensue causing the backyard to generate life. When uncertainty of life created fear in my mind I would cling to the love of my favorite thing I owned, the backyard, where there was never a question of it generating hateful strife. On cold days when you could see your breath or hot days when the dress attire was as little as possible there would always be the backyard welcoming me for a visit. I could escape to the backyard and monitor the sky day or night and while singing or eating, but unlike other yards there was always a place for me to stand or sit. When fear and depression made me scared or worry I could always run to the backyard and look up at the peaceful and soothing heavens while laying back on my hair. When my mother would sometimes temper my ugly anger with punishment the visions of me in my favorite place, the backyard, soon would clear my despair. On days of boring subjects at school and when the time seemed to stand still or days where cartoons did not feel me up with joy I knew the backyard would be waiting for me, full of life to explore. In the backyard, I would experience the cycles of life which had its ups and downs or survivals and grotesque gores. When there were hours of the day which needed to be wasted my favorite place, the backyard, would always be there for me to investigate it. My Favorite Place

...Miranda Turvin May 21, 2012 ENC 1102 Descriptive Essay Working to find my inner peace, I go from place to place just looking for the solitude. A warm, comforting place that I may call my own. That place has been found and not many can claim it for it is mine. Out in the rolling country side of Fort Meade, Florida is a dream just unfolding. The Sunkist sunrise and sunset, the breath taking stars, and the calm, solitary squeeze against my being just makes it all the more better. On the outskirts of the Lilliputian town there is nothing more than the everlasting land where it’s hard to tell where the sky starts and where it stops. Nothing more than a relationship between nature and myself. Cool breezes drag the scent of pine trees and water through the air and the grass grows tall and dark green. Hawks, pigeons, and quails make beautiful music as their aria begins to sync. So the only sounds you can hear are the arias being sung and the wind blowing through my hair. The sunset glows of many pinks, yellows, lavenders, and blues as the day begins to kiss the land goodnight. The numerous birds flee to their nests as they begin to drift into slumber as the night is just beginning. The luminous moon rises to the center of the dark, velvet curtain. Its illumination kisses every tree, strand of grass, and the mist obscuring the few houses that scatter the land. Although the birds are nestled in their homes, the foxes, raccoons, and creatures of the night come out to find......

My Favorite Place

...Jasmine Queen April 17,2012 My Favorite Place Through out the whole world, there are plenty of places where people love to go. Some may be a certain area, a store, a home, or even a different country. One place can hold special values to one person. Whether it’s a memory or memories, a feeling, or even just being in the environment. All of it leads up to being a persons “favorite place”. Everyone has a favorite place in their home, a place where he or she can be him or herself. Somewhere you can find peace and harmony. For some it's a quiet place, for others it's a hustling, bustling, full of people and movement place. But all of these places have one thing in common; they are places where you'd run to in times of both joy and stress. There is one place to me that makes me feel like I am the only one in the world. I chose this place because its stress free. It’s the only place in my house where I can be myself. I don’t have to worry about what others have to say. I can lay back and relax on my bed. A lot of times I just lay down and close my eyes and daydream about places I'd like to see or think about things that make me happy. One thing I do not do is think about things I need to get done or anything that makes me feel stressed because then I’ll never feel relaxed. I usually try to stay away from these kinds of thoughts and it usually works out well. Being able to watch whatever I please on my own television. Even playing my Xbox 360, without having to share......
