In this assignment I am going to talk about a specific role within Apple Inc. The role I have chosen is a manager role.

Job description
Managers within Apple have to create a retail environment that inspires both employees and customers. As a Manager, they are building dynamic teams with unique individuals and delivering positive experiences for customers as they learn shop and get support. Most importantly, they share the Apple vision with employees and encourage their growth.
Specific role
The managers are responsible for staffing the business. This includes creating job descriptions, running advertisements for open positions, reviewing resumes and applications, interviewing prospective employees, hiring and firing. The manager oversees his staff, ensuring they are trained properly, follow company guidelines and policies, perform the job satisfactorily and receive feedback on a regular basis. The manager is also responsible for tallying work hours, calculating pay, processing checks and tracking vacation days and other time off.
Job summary The normal working week can exceed 40 hours if you have the role of a manager. However, during peak periods such as Christmas, sales and other seasonal holidays many managers may work longer than 40 hours. Managers at Apple get offered bonuses or offers, which can increase the amount payable, as well as other benefits such as pension schemes, company car, staff discount, private healthcare, professional qualifications training and travel subsidies.
